A little more details about this board...
Let the kids have a blast and perform as a pro-surfer. The Alpha dog 4'5 is the perfect size and fit for your young puppy who wants to improve his or her surfing. The outline of this high-performance surfboard shape encourages a lightweight surfer to charge with smoother and more powerful moves in any kind of waves. A little word of friendly advice though, this soft shortboard is for the more experienced young dogs with a lot of progression in mind and not suited for your very first waves.
5 fin setup
This is for sure the cherry on the cake. With 5 futures finboxes, you always have all options when it comes down to fin positioning in different types of waves. A quad setup, double fins on each side, for more speed and looser for maneuvers. A thruster setup, 2 side fins + 1 center fin, for more carving and grip when doing bottom turns. The choice for a certain fin setup can be very personal and is depending a lot on the personal preferences of the surfer. But don't be bothered, with this performance soft top surfboard you have all options!

The top surface of the performance soft shortboard, our soft skin IXPE, is always groovy :) Like a lizard skin, the eco-friendly IXPE material has a nice and deep texture that provides heaps of grip. Do I need to wax my soft top surfboard? Yes and no :)
Basically, you don’t need to wax your Softdog but when you want to ride it a bit more radical… a little extra wax is your dog’s best friend! Waxing is also a form of meditation and a cool thing to do. When you surf with booties on your paws, wax becomes less important.
Removing wax from your board is also very easy. Just use a friendly detergent like ‘Ecover’ and you can rub the wax right off your softboard.

This seems like a no-brainer for us, but this is not the case for many softboard brands out there. 100% sealed means a higher quality of surfing and a longer lifespan for your soft top surfboard. It packs a high-density EPS core wrapped in an ECO-friendly IXPE grippy lizard top skin. In between you can find a range of components to make your board stiffer and last longer. Also note the fantastic Flightweight R+ technology stringer on top of your core. This is all technical stuff but it’s good stuff! from 29 reviewsI thought that I can't surf on the Black Sea waves (mostly wind swells) as an old beginner (over 40 years old) but Skooldog 7'6" proved me that I was wrong. This board is now my first choice for riding waves of 0.4m or bigger, with periods as small as 4 seconds, perfect for the Black Sea. It helped me evolve from frustration due to crappy pop-ups and crappy balance to a state of confidence and satisfaction. The board is quite forgiving if you place your feet in the wrong position, and I had a lot of fun riding waves, with less and less wipeouts. Of course, it's slower to turn, and I can't wait to evolve to a shorter board.

Using this board with a twinfin fin-setup is surprisingly fun!!! So much glide, but still so much control! A Midlenght with so much characteristics in 1 shape. Truly special.
A must have in your quiver !
I've been taking my Retriever out in small, messy conditions and it's perfect.
I'd suggest this board for 'advanced beginners'/intermediates as their 3rd board *after* an 8ft foamie (learn to surf), and then a 9ft+ hard longboard (learn to turn).
2+1 fin setup is great for experimentation. I've even gone a bit unconventional and bought twin fins and a small trailer (that fits in the single-fin box) from AliExpress and they've made it super fun and skatey, but still with enough control coming from the trailer.
I am surfing now for a little more than two years (but with long breaks in between, so I still consider myself a beginner) and I like the size and shape of the board. I really feel comfortable with this board and compared to other boards I surfed, I would consider this the most stable and fun. Double plus for the hand grip that makes it easier to carry! I would recommend this board to anyone but especially to starters or people that surfed already a bit like me but are still not comfortable (yet) with smaller sizes :)
This board is amazing, it's a great first board to surf down the line but also amazing for the better surfer to make turns and little cross steps. Must have in your quiver!!
This board should be in everyone’s quiver! Had so much fun with this board and so has the rest of my family. All-round fun board I would highly recommend. Always having a good session with this board and it’s the perfect transition board for kids (and adults) who get the hang of it!
Het board is de perfecte mid-lenght, niet te breed en zeker stabiel. Afgelopen week de leukste golven met dit board gepakt in Portugal. Kleinere of grote golven op alles kunnen inpeddelen. Echt een allemansvriend die niet mag ontbreken.
Love this wide Alpha for the smaller days, it rips like a skateboard. Also fun to mess around with different fin setups. Thruster, quad, twin+1 , everything goes really well!

This is my all time favorite softtop! Super easy to catch waves but you can shred it like a shortboard. It’s the perfect combination between performance surfing and softtop fun 🙌
Perfect board to learn how to surf for everyone of your family! Even for an intermediate level this is your perfect go to! If you can turn this board, you’ll be able to turn every board you’ll ever surf! Would highly recommend to everyone. Easy to travel with and big plus for me personally is that it comes with an amazing design that allows you to carry it down to the beach more easy then most boards! I’m a fan!

De 7.2 is echt een leuk board. Golven meepakken is easy en draait verrassend goed. In t algemeen ook super praktisch en je moet er niet alte voorzichtig mee zijn als je 't in je auto steekt :-) Is echt top voor allround gofjes te pakken. Werkte zowel in Frankrijk als hier aan onze kust. Enjoy!
